Title: Whole transcriptomics spatial profiling of melanoma using the Nanostring GeoMx digital spatial profiler

Spatial profiling technologies enable the analysis of gene expression in a morphologic context. Melanoma, the leading cause of death for cutaneous malignancies, is an ideal tumor for spatial transcriptomics profiling, as the abnormal architecture is a key element for nosologic interpretation.  We performed whole transcriptome digital spatial profiling of melanomas from a population of immunocompromised patients and used melanomas from immunocompetent patients as controls. This presentation will highlight the project, including the achievements and challenges using this spatial transcriptomics platform.
